Working for Us
Marketing Operations and Marketing Controlling
The area of Marketing Operations covers the entire marketing of the Jesta Digital product portfolio to customers through all channels, such as Web and WAP, TV and print. This department is divided into international country teams; which are in turn made up of media planners and print and portal managers.
Media planners maintain contacts to the TV broadcasters in the relevant country and draw up media plans. They are also the party contracting out internal TV spot productions.
Print advertisements are developed by the print managers. These are responsible for layout and product selection and also organise the subsequent analyses of advertising results.
Portal managers organise the contents of all Jesta Digital website and WAP pages: this is the platform for the development of, for example, special campaigns and the relevant advertising banners.
All three areas report to their respective Country Manager, which bears overall responsibility for his/her country, develops strategic guidelines and implements these jointly with the team.
The Marketing Controlling team supports their colleagues in Marketing Operations in booking advertising services, allocating supplier invoices and preparing the end-of-month accounts.
The basic tasks of the team are recording and assigning marketing expenses within the system, as well as subsequent allocation of invoices and their release for payment. This relieves the Marketing Team of a significant part of its workload and ensures improved quality of data for end-of-month accounts.
Customers are being increasingly offered a wide range of differentJesta Digital products by its sales partners. The operative and financial success of these partnerships is reviewed each month by the Marketing Controlling team, and the results are then presented to the Account Managers as a completed report.
Technical Country Operations
The Technical Country Operations segment is made up of four departments:
The Quality Assurance (QA) team is responsible for the functional quality of all Jesta Digital services. The main duties of this team are the certification of new software versions and the continuous testing of all services (for example ring tones, mobile phone games or information services). Other areas of special focus are fault analysis and the compilation of test cases in line with specific requirements for new functions.
Business-technical operation of Jesta Digital services is the responsibility of Technical Country Management (TCM). Around 15 employees monitor and optimise the different services on the basis of key business data. TCM is the central contact point for all technical problems arising in the relevant country, which it then communicates to, for example, the Marketing, IT, Customer Service or Finance teams.
Incident Management (IM) functions as a "Rapid Reaction Force" for problems arising in live operations of a product. These are reproduced, analysed, categorised, prioritised and solved according to a specified process. Fault reports are sent by the TCM or QA team, but also by Customer Service or one of the numerousJesta Digital staff members, who are of course entitled to use and test all Jesta Digital services free of charge.
The Configurations Management (CM) team is currently still being developed. This team is responsible for configurations, especially price configurations. In close cooperation with TCM and QA, this will in the medium-term be the central processing location for all configurations. This will be done in the form of additions or adjustments of entries in the SQL databases and configuration files.
Product Management is a worldwide division responsible for locating, developing and improving mobile entertainment services and the relevant sales channels. This division is divided into the following teams:
From their monitoring and analyses of international market developments and the competition environment, the product managers develop new product ideas and monitor Jesta Digital's existing services in music, personalisation, games, videos and MMS/SMS services. In this regard they work closely with the Sales, Marketing and IT teams.
Further development of sales channels in Web and WAP, SMS order and many other channels is controlled by the central Channel Managers. Here, open interfaces for partners are also developed that allow simple and targeted access to the Jesta Digital product programme.
Program Management Office (PMO)
In the PMO division, all development ideas from the entire company are compiled, focussed and coordinated in projects. This team plans for resources and processes and cooperates very closely with product management, the IT department and the Sales and Marketing department.
The New Business Team probes and explores the market and evaluates new business models and business areas. This requires the development of prototypes and feasibility studies which, when results are promising, are passed on to the other departments for development and implementation.
The User Experience Team ensures the usability of our products and services. They bring customer needs into the spotlight, manage usability testing and broker user interface design standards across all products and channels.

This is also where it is decided which format is delivered for each mobile phone model. This guarantees that each customer receives the ideal content for his mobile phone. Many further configurations are also carried out in this Oracle database, which is administered completely through SQL inquiries, including the presentation of the WAP portals.
To ensure that every customer buying a new mobile phone is able to obtain all ordered Jesta Digital content without encountering any complications, the mobile phone has to have the correct Internet settings. This pre-configuration of mobile phones is provided by various firms, coordinated and monitored by the Jesta Digital Configuration Team. The necessary settings are tested and supplied by this team.
